with Bobbie Ellis

An introduction to moving from the fluid intelligence of the body

Jewish Community Center - 1775 Oak Tree Rd. - Edison - NJ - 08820

January 20, 2018 - 2-5pm

Moving from the fluid nature of the body can inform how we live our lives and change
our relationship to what we call fitness. This awareness and moving practice helps us to
find a sense of peace and well being amidst a changing world....

Continuum helps you to:

* Tap into the body as a creative process, not an object.

* Explore movement from a living, fluid expression that is self regulated & non-harming
* Learn to change habitual tempo in movement, listening from within in new and novel
ways to find important pathways to vitality, health and spirited uplifting

Discover an internal experience through breath, sound, guided and silent meditation,
and fluid movement to cultivate curiosity and widen the scope of spiritual practice?
Enhance health and well being while finding resources for
resilience, adaptability, and deep innovative change.

For 32 years Bobbie has been deeply committed to exploring the territory of inquiry using
the wisdom of the body. In addition to being a Continuum Teacher and one of the
founding members of the Continuum Teachers Association, she directs Soma Center,
Resources for Embodied Living, celebrating 20 years in Highland Park, NJ. As a yoga and
movement guide, writer, and embodied meditation teacher, Bobbie offers classes,
workshops and one on one sessions in her studio and loves to travel teach in the tri-state
area and more. For Bobbie, the most important depth in teaching and writing has come
from the unfolding discoveries in her own felt and fluid practices in the quiet of her own
body. It is there that she has learned to trust and share, teach and explore. In her need for clarity in the passages of
her own life, she has created workshops and training programs that offer a deep way of cultivating resources for living
an embodied life. With her husband and pianist, John Bianculli, she has a CD in embodied meditation and has self
published 2 poetry books. Bobbie is also a ceremonial officiant.
