Catholic Schools Week Recap!

CSW2017 is a great time for reflection and celebration! Check out some of the activities and service
that took place as part of Catholic Schools Week!

Service Spotlight
Once again this year, a group of seniors
and adult leaders traveled to Tupelo, MS to
work with Habitat for Humanity. Students
assisted in building a home for a family in
need.

The rest of the senior class were spread

around St. Louis completing their service
projects at various schools, churches, and
nonprofit organizations.

CSW Liturgy with Fr. Cavitt

While Fr. Mike is gone on Sabbatical, we
are welcoming several visiting priests to
our campus for All-School Liturgies. For
Catholic Schools Week, we were honored
to have Fr. Art Cavitt here to celebrate
mass with us!
Senior Witness
During our Catholic Schools Week mass, several seniors reflected on their various senior service
projects they completed in January. Each discussed how meaningful their experiences were and
how they not only witnessed God's work, but were part of it too. Our seniors are living examples of our
motto, "Faith in Christ, Service to Others."

Andrew Rettig [attended Pro Life March in Washington D.C.]:

"It allowed me to see life in a whole new manner and allowed me to realize just how special life is."

Ryan Warren [performed service at St. Louis the King]:

"I've gained a new perspective, and patience. If you open up a little bit it can make any experience
that much better."

Aaron Hughes [performed service with Tupelo, MS Habitat for Humanity]:

"I realized how good I have it, some of these people don't have what we have."

Zoe Probst [performed service at Sacred Heart Villa]:

"Service to others is one of the greatest opportunities."

Pro Life March in D.C.

A group of over 40 students and teachers from the Pro Life Club traveled the long bus
ride to Washington D.C. to participate in the March for Life.

E-Raffle

This is the time of year to assist DB in our efforts to raise money that will go into the Adopt-A-
Student Program and directly to our current Cavaliers. The Adopt-A-Student Program aids DB
families in need. This E-Raffle is not a mandatory fundraiser for each student, but we are
asking for each student's support. This E-Raffle is a great way for students to give back and
help their fellow Cavaliers.

Please help us out by purchasing a ticket yourself, forwarding your E-Raffle link to friends and
family, and posting it on your social media. No need to go door to door.

Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 and the drawings will be held by "Go Raise
Dough" on Monday, March 6th. Thank you in advance for your support in our
Adopt-A-Student E-Raffle.

Message from President

Fr. Mike Lydon
Dear friends,

As many have been made aware, I will be going

on a Sabbatical to Rome, Italy which includes a
pilgrimage to the Holy Land beginning in early
January through April. I will not be in consistent
communication with the DB community during this
time of study, reflection and prayer.

For DB matters that would typically be

administered through me, please directly contact
my Executive Assistant, Mrs. Joyce Mard during
this time, or please contact our administrative office
at 314.832.3030.

Thank you for your accommodation during this

period of temporary change. Please keep me in
your prayers, as I will keep you all in mine.

In Christ,

Fr. Mike Lydon
