Strengths of the lesson:

Children respectful, raising hands and generally quiet
Most children are engaged and on task
Calm, authoritative manner resulting in improved behaviour from the children
Much better classroom management
Much better relationship with the children
Good monitoring, supporting the children
Good relationship with MST
Overall a much improved lesson

Focus for next lesson:

You spent a long time explaining the maths concept and how you wanted the children to
do the steps think of a way you could make this shorter and simpler for them
Your examples were a bit difficult to follow at times if this was a new way of doing
multiplication you could have prepared a sheet with the examples written on them for the
students to follow and to keep
