The syllabus covers several topics from A First Course in the Finite Element Method including 2D problems from chapters 2 and 3, 1D problems from chapter 4 excluding Timoshenko beam theory, plate and shell problems from chapters 6 and 13, and dynamic problems from chapter 15. Students will study examples and solve problems for each topic ranging from the introductory problems in chapter 2 to more advanced problems in chapters 13 and 15.
