Lesson idea implementation:

Students will watch through the video I have created. Then, they will be asked to create their own sentences
using the parts of speech we went over. They will create their own narrated PowerPoints using these
sentences, and I will help them record over their PowerPoint slides. Students will be asked to highlight or
bolden the parts of speech they are focusing on for each individual slide. Student learning will be assessed by
the sentences written, as well as the words they chose to highlight or emphasize.
In order to extend this lesson to a higher learning level, students will be asked to form their sentences into a
brief story. On the slides on which they are focusing on nouns, they will highlight all of the nouns and choose
illustrations for them. They will then narrate their stories Their narrated PowerPoints will be their own
original audio books.
