b) apply the concepts of location, scale, map

projection, or orientation;

Activity
The teacher will briefly describe location, scale, and
projection; and how to apply these concepts to identify
geographical locations on a map. The objective of this
lesson is to see how well students can use maps to obtain
geographical information about the worlds countries,
cities, and environments. After the brief lesson, the teacher
will ask the students to get in groups of four, and come up
to the smartboard to drag the name of a specific country to
its proper location on the map. There will be a word bank to
choose from and students are prohibited from seeking

assistance from the teacher until everyone has completed

this task.
