Analysis

My measure of student learning impact study was based off of the results of a pre and post ten
question quiz for my basketball unit. The results from the data showed that all of my thirteen
students showed some level of growth from pre to post quiz. Although they all showed growth,
54% of my students y showed a low level of growth while 15% of my students showed a
moderate level of growth and 31% of my students showed a high level of growth from pre to
post quiz. Seeing these percentages of my students growth surprised me as I felt I spent every
day going over key points that were important to the unit as well as key points that were going to
be on the test. Even though my highest percentage was in the low range, I noticed that a lot of
my pre quiz scores were already a passing grade for my unit. Due to this fact, a low level of
growth was more likely to happen compared to the high level of growth. Taking these results
into consideration, when I do this unit again in my future teachings I will make sure to either
make the questions in the quiz more difficult or change the question type of the quiz. Overall, all
of my students saw some sort of growth from pre to post quiz so I feel accomplished that my
students learned something he or she may not have known to start the unit.
