Lighting Information: Solutions:

Due to the location being outside, the Use battery powered lighting if the
main lighting available to use is the weather isnt bright

weather needs to be right to get ideal
shots.

Sound Information: Solutions:

The location is outside therefore there is To hear the music, I will use a speaker.
natural outdoor noises such as wind,
birds etc. Luckily this is not a problem for
me as Im digitally adding audio in
afterwards. During the production
however, I will require the song playing
to make sure the lip sync and actions
are in time on video.

Power Information: Solutions:

There are no electricity sources as the Use battery powered equipment so no

unattainable for any reason, a
generator could be used.

which are adjustable to a very wide

studio shots anyway is an artificial state,
so this is perfect.

Sound Information: Solutions:

Due to the location being indoors, there N/A
is no ambient sound. This is helpful as it
means when the song is playing out
loud I will be able to hear it very clearly
and lip sync very well. The studio also
has Bluetooth speakers which means I
am able to play the song very loud.

Clearances and Confirmations
Below is the request form for the equipment I wish to hire from the department. This
equipment involves the Studio, 2 LED panel lights and a dolly. I already own a
camera, a lens, extra batteries, a tripod and a handheld camera stabiliser so I do
not need to hire out this equipment.

Crew/Actors
To ensure my crew is available on the shooting days, I have contacted them
beforehand to make sure the dates are fine and for them to keep the date free. I
only had one member to contact which was the camera operator and the email
confirmation can be seen below. I did attempt to book a backup camera operator
however was not able to due to the people I had asked being unable to due to a
vast amount of reasons.
Contingency Plan
What are your plans for if something goes wrong? What back up actors,
locations and equipment do you have?
Actors/Crew

As the only crew I have involves myself and one other person, there arent many
people I need to rely on therefore the chances of people dropping out is reduced
drastically. As I myself am essentially organising everything to do with the production
as well as acting in it, I have not organised backup for actors or crew members as
there arent any apart from the camera operator. I attempted to contact back up
members for the camera operator however no one was available to do so due to a
vast amount of reasons. I have however been assured by the camera operator that
he will attend no matter the situation, so I have no worries about not having a
backup. If worse comes to worse and the camera operator cant attend, I can set
up the camera on a tripod myself and do the required shots.

It is important for me to have some sort of back up for my crew even if it doesnt
involve getting back up people as I would still need to film on the day I have set the
production for.

Locations

For my music video, I have scouted out 2 locations that I will be using for my
production. The first location is the studio and the second is the abandoned
swimming pool. In order to make sure there isnt any problems with utilising the
studio, I have pre-booked it to avoid any problems when it comes to the shoot day.
If for any reason the main studio becomes unavailable, there are other studios
nearby which I have been told about that will be available for use. Due to the
swimming pool being abandoned, I have no information on who to contact about
its use as its been forgotten about. I have made teachers known about it being
utilised in my production as it used to be a part of the college so hopefully when I
arrive there on shoot day it isnt already being used by someone else. If this fails, I will
be recording the swimming pool shots most likely in a forest instead, or, my back
garden.

It is important for me to have backup locations as getting everything together for

the day requires a lot of effort and time from myself and others, so getting
everything organised to not being able to use the original location and not have a
backup would waste everyones time and energy. Having a backup would mean
the shoot can still be done and the day would not be wasted

Equipment

To eliminate the possibility of problems arising with the equipment, I have filled out
an equipment hiring form days in advance meaning it will be ready for me when I
require it. If others who have hired the equipment for use before my shoot day dont
bring the equipment back in time, I will have to make do with the lighting already
available in the studio and try to make it work to the best of my ability. Luckily, the
studio does have a flexible lighting rig meaning I will be able to make do with the
included facilities anyway. For outdoor night shots, if the lighting I require is
unavailable I will have to make do with what other lights are available or re-
plan shots to make them work without lighting.

It is important for me to have pre-booked and located replacement equipment

early on before the shoot day because the equipment required is key to me
achieving the image I want to produce on camera. The production will not look to a
high standard and will increase the length of shooting if equipment isnt present and
may cause the finished piece to not look professional.
