TYPES OF LAW

Divine Law a law that is believed to come directly from God.

Natural Law a body of moral and ethical principles that are considered to be inherent in
nature itself or deducible through reason alone, often contrasted with positive law.

Moral Law a system of guidelines for behavior. These guidelines may not be a part of a
religion, codified in written form, or legally enforceable.

Physical Law a universal statement about both nature and society, about on empirical
observations of physical behavior, tested using scientific method.
