Pre-Production Details and Treatment

Working title: Providence Nightlife

Approx. Length: 1-2 min.

Target Audience: Providence tourists

Purpose: Document what there is to see around Providence as far as Nightlife (clubs, bars, etc.)

and other cultural aspects (such as art galleries) and bring to light things most people who visit

might never see.

Treatment:

The documentary opens with B Roll shots of Providence, the skyline first, then more

shots of buildings and storefronts/signs to bring the whole picture of Providence together. We

hear voice over that explains a brief short about the city, when it was founded and why it has

such great history/culture. Delving further in we get to specific/iconic storefronts and must see

places, such as waterfire, trinity rep/brewhouse, benefit street, the RISD museum, etc. The voice

over will continue, giving overviews of what you can find at each of the establishments, and

what kind of night you might expect going to each one.

The docu-short will end with a somewhat-reverse of the intro, showing more storefronts

first, places we didnt get to see deep into necessarily but might be fun to check out, then

conclude with another shot of the Providence skyline to come full circle with the production.
