Dr. Papenfuhs and Mr. Jones

Dear Sirs,

I am writing today on behalf of the 2014 KC Rockets (Liberty Parks & Rec. 6th Grade Division 3) and
their parents to express our deepest thanks to a member of your school. While this is not Dakotas first
time assisting with a Liberty Parks & Rec. team, it is my first exposure to him. I cannot express both my
appreciation and respect for his efforts over the past few months.

From my first interaction with Dakota, I was impressed by his maturity and the business like attitude he
took toward the task of coaching our team. All the KC Rockets play together in other sports (USSSA AA
baseball and Pop Warner football) so they are used to being coached and it would have been easy to
dismiss someone relatively close to their age. Because of his maturity and leadership, the boys instantly
responded, listened and learned. They are much better as individual basketball players, but also a real
team. Close to of the team had little to no previous basketball experience and he led them to a second
place league finish.

In addition to his leadership and coaching the boys, I was also impressed with his dedication to the time
commitment involved. Many times he came to practices or games directly from his own basketball
games and practices. The only times he missed were due to his commitment to the Smithville Warriors
and even then, he was proactive in his communication and eager to assist in any way possible.

Considering his character, I doubt the content of this letter surprises you! Ill finish by simply saying that
as a parent of one of the KC Rockets, I would hope my son displays a similar makeup when he is a high
school junior. Our team and parents hope he will return as coach next year!

Respectfully,
Anthony R. Garcia
