Input material

Zinc ash = 1250 kg

Sulphuric acid = 1050 kg

Mother liquor = 6500 kg

Water = 1000 kg

Total input material = 9800 kg

Reaction

Zinc ash + sulphuric acid + mother liquor+ water = zinc sulphate + mother liquor + filter

press sludge

Output material

Zinc sulphate = 3200 kg

Mother liquor = 6400 kg

Residue (unreacted zinc ash 10%) = 125 kg

Total output material = 9725 kg

Material balance = Input material output material

= 9800 - 9725

= 75 kg

Material loss due to dust scrubbing, water evaporation and transportation.

No wastewater is generated in Zinc sulphate manufacturing process. Equipment washed and

floor washed water will be used for mother liquor.

Obtained filter press sludge and waste zinc ash bags packed in HDPE bags stored in the

designated storage shed, which is provided privy floor and confinement bunds. Later

transferred to TSDF, Rmkey, Dobespet for disposal.

Reactor exhaust coupled with scrubber to remove odors, acid gases and chemical vapours

from air and liquid streams Particulate or gases are collected in the scrubbing liquid.

Generated domestic wastewater is stored in septic tanks.

Title: Diesel generator set
1. Check fuel level into the diesel service tank.
2. Check battery voltage on the alternator panel.
3. Check coolant/ water level into the radiator.
4. Start DG set using start button. Engine will pick up and will develop voltage. Check frequency
of supply, It should be 49.5 to 50 Hz.
5. Turn the key of DG set to OFF position.
