GROUP ASSIGNMENT

1. This assignment contributes 10% for this course. You can choose between the
individual assignment and this group assignment. For this group assignment,
you also have a choice to do it alone.
2. First, you have to create the background of a family. The information (income,
expenses, asset, liabilities) created must be enough for you to do the following
steps.
3. You have to work-out a table of financial plan that is practical for this family.
Outline at least 5 financial goals for example buy a new car, buy a house, save
for retirement, others. By referring to the financial plan, explain how and
when the family can achieve the financial goals in the financial plan.
4. The format for the assignment:
i. Cover page
ii. Introduction: the importance of financial goals and financial planning
for a family (maximum 2 pages)
iii. The family background, financial goals and financial plan (4 to 6
pages) with the explanation.
iv. Conclusion (maximum 1 page)
v. Bibliography (APA style)
vi. Appendix (not necessarily all pages; attach those pages that you refer
to)
5. The report should be about 8 to 10 pages and typed double spacing with font
size 11 or 12. Font type depends on your choice.
6. Due date for this assignment is at the end of week 13 of the semester (Friday 5
pm).
7. Submit at the General Office of the Faculty of Human Ecology and sign the
Borang Terima Hasil.
