December Newsletter

Hello, parents, and welcome to December at the Greek class in PCA! December is such a
beautiful month with all the name days, Christmas and end of year/New Year!

I am glad to share with you my satisfaction for the end of 1st trimester. I had the chance
to meet almost all of you in the Parent-Teacher Conferences. I enjoyed 2nd graders every
day in deepening their knowledge of Greek language and culture. I am sure we will keep
up their interest and speed up their pace of learning Greek in 2nd trimester!

The 3 weeks of December are focused around Christmas.

Writing/Speaking

Students will bring and present a family picture to class.

Students will write Christmas cards and learn about the season of winter.

Students will make festive projects for gym decoration.

Students will learn how to say Christmas wishes and sing carols/.

Students will learn about Greek Christmas customs.

They will write their monthly Newsletter in Greek to send to their Greek pen pals
in an elementary school of Athens along with Christmas cards.
