Influences

Throughout this project I wanted to stay within a certain theme of my

influences, revolving around Scandinavian landscapes, smooth organic
textures and natural warm and cool colours. Something that heavily
influenced me from Puryears work was the curvatures he achieved in his
sculptures and I wanted to communicate that through smooth textures.

I didnt want to rely on Mayas texturing to help convey that really only
Mayas use was its modelling and texturing stages to help me achieve the
smooth curved buildings.

Overall I believe I kept within my intentions of style regarding the smooth

shapes of Puryears work and the Scandinavian landscapes he was also
influenced by.
