Below is a collection of attention grabbers, expectations of behavior, and transitions showing the

progression of my lesson planning for routine expectations. I addressed KSA 7 within this goal with
regularity. When expectations were consistent, outcomes followed suit.

November 20- First Physical Education Class

-Prior to my first class, students would immediately line up to head to the gym. It only took a few classes
to have students get used to my routine of talking before leaving for the gym.
Expectations for Students will only grab equipment when instructed to. Sticks will never be
Learning and Behavior raised above the waist to prevent any serious injuries.

Students will be expected to make an effort to improve each time they do the
obstacle course

November 21- Second Physical Education class

Transition to Body

As with the prior class, a volunteer will be asked to lead a stretch upon arrival
at the gym. This will be the new routine for all classes. We will line up and go
to the gym. Upon arrival students will be expected to sit in a circle on their
side of the gym and wait for instruction to start stretching.

Two helpers will aid in the setup of the game.

November 30- 4th Phys Ed Class.

-Here, I began asking students why stretching is important prior to doing physical activity.

Assessment of Prior
By now, students should be aware of the protocol for heading to the gym.
Knowledge

Transition to Body A volunteer will be picked again. They will be told to do a total of five
stretches. The class will be questioned Why do we stretch?
December 5- Introduction to Volleyball

-With a new unit comes new equipment. Students were informed of the change prior to leaving.
Expectations were asked instead of stated to solidify expectations.

Attention Grabber

Prior to leaving for the gym, get a student volunteer to lead stretching upon
arrival. Ask students to go over protocol for arriving at the gym, and what we
should be doing with the balls. Nobody is to touch the net. Warmup will take
place on the closer side of the court and away from the net.

Assessment of Prior
Gym rules will act as the prior assessment.

Learning and Behavior when being instructed.
