This helped the messengers' messages be more readily accepted. 2) As the Prophet Muhammad started preaching Islam in Mecca, his relationship with the Quraysh tribe became more strained, especially after the death of his uncle Abu Talib who had protected him. 3) When the Prophet entered Mecca in 8AH after it was conquered, he demonstrated mercy by forgiving those who had opposed him, showing Muslims should follow this example of forgiveness today.
