Scales
The scales represent equality and fairness. It shows the weighing up of
both sides.

Blindfold
The blindfold represents access and fairness. It shows that the system
does not discriminate against gender or race and allows all to take part.
No prejudice.

Sword
The sword is double-edged and can cut both ways meaning it does not
discriminate. It represents fairness and swift punishment to the offender.
The sword is below the scales and is only used after guilt has been proven.

Female
She represents the Greek and Roman Goddesses of Justice.

Fairness: Fairness means everyone is treated impartially and just based on a


situation when all things are taken into account.

Access: Everyone is given the opportunity to access the justice system and
present a case.

Equality: Everyone is treated the same.
