Project Overview
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a reevaluation of the Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility
(GGMTF) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study completed in 2006. The study area is located in the southwest quadrant of
the Golden Glades Interchange in northern Miami-Dade County and consists of two (2) FDOT owned Park and Ride (PNR) lots bordered
by the South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC) to the north, SR 9A (I-95) to the east, and NW 159 Street/Block to the south.

Agency Partnership
FDOT District Six has closely coordinated with Floridas Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), Miami-Dade DTPW/MDT, and other area agencies
during the reevaluation. The GGMTF and TTC will be developed through partnerships with Miami-Dade DTPW/MDT and private sector
partners. FDOT District 6 will finance, design and construct the GGMTF with Miami-Dade DTPW/MDT as its local agency partner.
Miami-Dade DTPW/MDT will assume operations and maintenance responsibilities for the GGMTF through execution of a Management,
Operation, Maintenance and Leasing Agreement with FDOT.
For the TTC, FTE is assisting FDOT District 6 in the development of a Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage a private sector partner
to finance, design, construct, operate, and maintain the TTC facility. FDOT/FTE will lease the TTC parcel to a private sector partner
and provide management oversight. In return, the truck stop operator will pay FDOT/FTE an agreed upon sum. This will be formalized
through a truck stop operators agreement. Truck parking fees will be at the discretion of the truck stop operator. At this time the revenue
sharing associated with the truck stop operator agreement has not been finalized. A draft truck stop operators agreement will be
included as part of the final RFP.
