ADULTING 101 QUARTER 2 Register to vote

Go to the following website http://nvsos.gov/sos/elections/voters/registering-to-vote to answer the


following questions:

1. What are some other options for registering to vote?


- Register when youre at the DMV or when you go to vote you can register there.

2. When do you need to submit another voter registration form?


- You need to submit a new form when you information changed like your address or your party
affiliation.

With many of you leaving for college it may be necessary to request an absentee ballot. Please click on
this tab in the left column for more information

3. How do you request an absentee ballot?


- To request an absentee ballot, you must complete and submit an Absentee Ballot Request Form to
the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters in the county where you are registered to vote.

4. What are the deadlines associated with this?


- You have to be 18 by the time of the next primary or general election.

5. Describe the identification and residency requirements for first time voters and give two
examples
- You have to show a form of government issued identification
- You have to have been a resident of the state for 30 days

6. Why do you personally think it is important to vote?


- I think that it is important to vote because if you dont vote then you have absolutely no say in the
decisions that are made that affect your daily life.
