Volume of Air VS Size of Open Seal

Variables :
Constant : Force applied to the wrapper.
Manipulated : Volume of Air
Responding : Size of Open Seal

Method :
1) Close all vent holes by using tape.
2) Put the wrapper with glove inside on the weigher and place a plate on the wrapper.
3) Push the plate until 60 - 65 kg to get the same force exerted between all wrappers tested.
4) Record the size of the open seal.

Result :
Volume of Air : Minimum Air Medium Air Maximum Air
Size of Open Seal : 4mm 57mm 129mm

Conclusion :
The pressure caused by the volume of air trapped inside the wrapper can push the seal to open.
This is possible during packing as packers will push down all the wrappers to seal the carton.
This test is to show that, the vent hole is really important to make sure non of air being
trapped in the wrapper.
