"Is Blue God's Favorite Color?

"

The High Priest wore a blue ephod robe and blue lace on his mitre. God prescribed blue cloth
coverings for several tabernacle furnishings. The tabernacle entrance and the Holy of Holies
entrance was one-third blue. Israelites wore blue ribbon fringes on their garments. Moses saw the
Spirit of God over a blue sapphire pavement. Ezekiel saw a blue sapphire stone under the throne.
The Israeli flag is now blue on white. The color blue is used quite extensively in the Old
Testament to describe the various hangings in the holy places. It is also used as a symbol of
wealth and the corruptions thereof, but it should be noted that purple is used far more frequently
for such distinctions. In general blue should be viewed as a heavenly color. Below is only a
representation of the color's use in scripture, it occurs far more frequently than demonstrated
here.

Blue is a calming color. It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly. Nearly everyone likes
some shade of the color blue. A natural color, from the blue of the sky, blue is a universal color.
The cool, calming effect of blue makes time pass more quickly and it can help you sleep. Blue is
a good color for bedrooms. In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings
peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away.
