    Dear PEA Members,

    Your PEA Bargaining Team met with the District on Wednesday, December 13. Again
    the District refused to move on anything. They do NOT want to lower class sizes or
    give raises to keep teachers or anything! The districts answer to everything has been
    NO!

    The District is still offering NOTHING on salary and only $10 dollars on benefits per
    month. This would mean that anyone who takes health insurance with the District would
    see less take home pay next year than they did this year even though the district got 4.6
    million in new ongoing money this year.

    Maybe the District wants to save the money to lower class size? Nope! The District has
    rejected lowering class sizes for special education and general education classes. You
    have to wonder what they are saving their money for. PEA is Standing Up for
    Student Success! What is the District standing up for?

    We need members to gear up and be ready to come out and show the District how
    serious we are in the new year!

    Please feel free to look at the proposals that were given.
