Christian Morality

General direction: Provide brief and concise answers to the questions. Write only
within the box provided.

1. To what degree is each of us a good person? Most of us probably see


ourselves as a generally good person while recognizing that we occasionally
behave in morally or ethically questionable ways. None of us is perfect, and there
is always room for improvement. How is Christian Morality related to the
pursuit of the GOOD? Is it possible for a good person to do bad? How relevant
such virtues as forgiveness, mercy, compassion, and most of all repentance in
Christian Morality?

2. What is moral identity? How important is it to our being moral persons?

3. Growth is possible in Morality. What factors affect our growth as moral


persons? Provide examples and brief explanations for such factors
4. Define conscience and expound on its key role in our lives as moral persons.

5. Christ Jesus always did what was pleasing to the Father and always lived in
perfect communion with Him. How is Jesus is our model of the moral person?

6. The Church has to uphold a culture of life and not a culture of death. Explain
your take on this statement as students of Christian Morality in SBC.

7. Freedom is an “expression of the divine image”. Elaborate on this statement


and relate it with the human faculty of conscience.

8. There is no true freedom except in service to what is good and just….Freedom


makes us responsible for our actions. Apply these powerful statements to your
life as a College of Law student.
