 As a teacher, how do I Change lives?

Good morning Ma`am it`s nice to see you today !

We often hear this greetings from our pupils, but have we ever ponder ,do our pupils

really feel nice to see us everyday?

How do I change lives ? Teachers really change lives, the question is, do we change

their lives for the better of for worst.

Everyday I wake up early, rush to school and see to it that I`am ready for the day.As I

wear my uniform and enter the gate of the school I feel proud that I`am a teacher.

Those sweet smiles and greetings of the pupils while sweeping the pathway will start

my busy day. They will hurry to help me carry my things and I will simply smile and say

“Thank You”. The magical word is “thank you” that we often forget to say to our pupils ,

Two simple words that when they hear it will boost their self esteem. They will feel

appreciated and accepted no matter who they are. We are not aware how rewarding it

was for them.They will also learn the value of appreciating the efforts others had done

to them because I firmly believe that values are caught not taught and as a teacher I

try to be a positive influence to them.and a role model even in petty things and actions

Ithat I did .

It is not always the pupils who learned from us, we cannot deny the fact that we also

learn from them.The everyday experiences inside the classroom had many stories to

tell.
