Library Services Department

The Library Services Department is seeking an innovative, collaborative,


professional and technologically savvy individual for our Children’s & Young
Adult Services Department at the Thousand Oaks Library.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with the competence and


experience to address challenges with confidence and professionalism. The
accomplished library professional should have demonstrated skills in the
areas of Youth Services, teamwork, excellent judgment and the ability to
collaborate with a wide range of individuals and groups.

Primary responsibilities:
 Work with the Youth Services team to plan and present a wide array
of community centered, library services.
 Provide expert assistance to patrons and staff primarily in the
Children’s Section of the library, focusing on young children, teens,
their families, guardians, and educators.
 Plan and provide an array of cultural, story time, and instructional
programs.
 Develop, coordinate and provide outreach services, tours, and
