QUESTIONS:
1. How did you ensure the 100% and correct implementation of the program in
your school?
Answer: We ensured the 100% and correct implementation of the program in our
school by performing dancercise during the flag ceremony and giving an
orientation to the parents of our pupils to explain what the goals of Nestle
Wellness Campus are.
2. How did you apply the learning’s from the modules? What are your school
best practices?
Answer: We apply the learning’s from the modules, the teachers in our school
during discussion they integrate the concept and knowledge of Nestle Wellness
Campus in teaching the lesson in different subjects. They explained how
important of balanced food to the lifestyle of individual.
The practices of our school to this campaign are: by giving nutritious food
in the feeding program and by selling healthy foods in our school canteen.
Answer: In our school we are doing such different activities that can help our
pupils to have a sort of recreational activities. Those activities that can encourage
the willingness of our pupils to have a healthy mind, physical appearance and
spiritual vigorous.
4. If you were given an opportunity to further improve the nutrition, health and
wellness of your school, what program activities would you implement?
Human beings need food and exercise in order to stay strong and healthy. But
this food must be changed into a form that the body cells can use. The food we eat
contains stored energy to do our daily activities. Exercise is one way to balance and
improve children’s healthy lifestyle everyday.
The three food groups GO, GROW, and GLOW foods and Pinggang Pinoy
served as a guide to meet the energy and nutrients needed by the school children.
Accepting challenge to join the Wellness Campus activity which was sponsored
by Nestle Philippines Inc., Calayo Elementary School tried its best to conduct
activities relative to this. They believed that through this wellness program, it will
boost proper nutrition of the pupils and improve their nutritional status.
Every morning, after the flag ceremony we conducted a short routine exercise
and dance moves before going to the classrooms. Teacher from Grade I to Grade VI
conducted lessons with the presence of video clip and modules. Others integrated
health and wellness in their daily lessons especially in Science, MSEP, EPP and ESP.
Likewise; they disseminated the importance of proper nutrition among parents through
Homeroom PTA meetings.
