Appendix-I

CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KASHMIR

Pattern for Question Paper

[ M.A. Comparative Religions]


Section-A shall consist of six (06) very short answer type questions carrying 03 marks each, out
of which a student shall be required to attempt any four (04) questions. Each question shall be
answered in around 100 words.

Section-B shall carry five (05) short answer type questions of 6 marks each, out of which a
student shall be required to attempt any three (03) questions. Each question shall be answered
in around 200 words.

Section-C shall carry five (05) long answer type questions of 10 marks each, out of which a
student will be required to answer any three (03) questions in about 1000 words.

General Instructions for Paper Setter

1. The questions set should be fairly distributed over the whole course prescribed for the
paper and proportional weightage should be given to all the Units/Sub-units/sections of
the syllabus.

2. The question paper should be duly typed on A4 Size paper with font style ‘Times New
Roman’, font size 12, margin (LRTB) 0.75 inch and strictly as per the format.
Handwritten Question Papers will not be accepted.

3. The question paper should be sealed and placed in the envelope clearly mentioning
course code and name of the examiner on the envelope.

4. The question paper set should enable a candidate having good knowledge of the subject
to answer the required number of questions within the allotted time.

5. The marks allotted to each question be written clearly and if the question is divided into
parts, marks of each part should also be indicated in the question paper.

6. The paper setter in papers involving mathematical problems should enclose solutions to
these problems along with the question paper.
