JTC SAYS:

At the very beginning of this lick you’ll find a D major arpeggio with chromatic
passing notes. Due to the slightly strange chord change from D to Bbsus2 you’ll find
that you can change the B note of the D major scale (D E F# G A B C#) to a Bb when
the chords change to Dsus2#5 and Bbsus2. But when the G chord comes afterwards
you’ll have to change back to B or quickly bend the Bb a half step up for a Texas
flavor to it. You can hear the use of a half/whole diminished scale (D Eb F F# G# A
B C) in measures 5-6, adding an eastern vibe, as you can hear. Pay attention to the
intonation with the double-stop bend at the end.
