Question 3

Questions 1-7 are based on a letter from Najihah to Anisah.

Dear Anisah,
Nice hearing from you after such a long time. It was last December and now it is May
already. How is everything? As for me, I am busy preparing for my examination which is in June.
It is just around the corner.
By the way, I know that you mid-year examination is coming soon too and you must be as
busy as I am. I remember you asking me a fortnight ago for tips on how to prepare for
examination during our last phone call. I believe these tips should be helpful. First, look after
your health. Eat balance meal and avoid junk food altogether. Also, drink plenty of water and get
sufficient sleep. This means that you should not study at the eleventh hour as studying at the
last minute would not help you. Learn to pace your revision with regular rest periods.
Next, form a study group with friends you can work with. By doing this you can learn to
help each other overcome your weakness. This could be done through the sharing of notes,
exchange of ideas and discussions. In class, make sure you take down short notes for your own
revision at home. Borrow books not only from the school library but also from the public library.
Last but not least, avoid online chatting and gaming. Give up your habit of spending hours on
Facebook and other social networking sites. Concentrate on your studies from now if you want to
succeed.
I hope the advice would be useful. Take care and call me if you need any help.
Your friend,

Najihah
