4.1 Analogue and digital input Control

Overview:
Use an analogue i/p to control the setpoint, and digital input to run and
stop the drive. (This is not necessary if drive has been Quick
Commissioned with default settings).

Aims:
To adjust the setpoint using one of the analogue inputs, and to stop and
start the drive using a digital input
Narrative:
Consider a pump that used to circulate cooling water for a Diesel Generator.
The flow of the water is to be set by an operator using an analogue input to the
drive.

Notes:

Instructions:
Follow the exercises given to you, setting the parameters to configure
the drive suitable for use within the system.

1 Description of the requirements.

You decide which parameters to use and their settings,
The settings should be tested and optimised as required.

2 Description of the requirements PLUS the parameters to use.

You determine the correct settings of the given parameters.
The settings should be tested and optimised as required.

3 All parameters and settings are given.

You implement the settings.
The settings should be tested and optimised as required.

Level 3.

The parameters that you should consider using are:

P0700 = 2; P1000 = 2;
(this assumes the digital and analog input parameters are at default)
1 Implement the settings.

2 Test the settings.

3 Consider any modifications that you may make to improve your settings.
List them in the box provided.
Modifications/Notes:

What happens if you set P0700 = 1 and P1000 = 2 and visa versa?
