Well, let's turn the clock back five years... To a case my eternal
mentor Mia Fey fought in...
A case we thought was settled has once again reared its ugly head!
And I'm the only one who can bring it all to an end!"
All trials start immediately and are mandated to last no more than
three days.
Prosecutors are free to introduce any evidence, fabricated or not, and
manipulate witness testimony to highlight only those facts damaging to
defendants, the truth be damned. The courts are no longer about
protecting the
innoncent or punishing the guilty, but for convicting everyone.
*This guide was written using the North American version of the game,

October 23, 2007. While it may serve other regions just fine, that is

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations features five
cases.
Solve one case, and you'll unlock the next challenge. However, to
navigate
through each adventure, you must utilize a couple of different modes:
Detective Work and Courtroom Questioning.
+-------------------------------+
Detective Work
+-------------------------------+
Some of the key evidence for a trial can only be found by having
Phoenix snoop
around for himself. After all, there's no way the prosecution is going
to hand
him the keys to the case every time. Don't worry, though, because it's
impossible for Phoenix to lose while he's playing Sherlock Holmes. The
game
won't allow you to proceed until all relevant clues and testimony have
been
collected and heard.
Move - This lists all the locations Phoenix can travel to from his
current
location. Only currently available locations are listed; as
Phoenix
investigates he may find other places to travel. Obviously,
it's to
our attorney's advantage to investigate every area available to
him.
Also, since he cannot go directly from each area to every other
area,
it's useful to note how the areas are connected. It could even
help
in reconstructing the events of the crime!
Present - You can also have Phoenix present evidence he has collected
to an
interested party to elicit more information; this includes
both items
and pictures of people involved in the case. These are the
easiest
hints to miss, since the clues of what to present to whom can
be lost
in a line of dialogue. If you ever get stuck, it's probably
because
you have overlooked presenting someone with an item from the
Court
Record.
Psyche-Locks
+-------------------------------+
+-------------------------------+
Courtroom Questioning
+-------------------------------+
The testimony can be reviewed as often as you wish, during which you
will
have two options:
Press - Phoenix will needle the witness about the current statement
whenever
you choose the "Press" option. This is a valuable option
because it
not only futher illuminates some facts -- sometimes you can
destroy
entire stories by merely pressing certain points -- but it
usually
cannot count against the Judge's patience and jeopardize the
outcome
of the trial.

It's a little odd seeing the action through Mia's eyes, reading her
inner
thoughts. Most surprising, though, is her shaky confidence. This is
only her
second trial, and the confident woman we've seen hasn't yet come into
her own.
That's part of this case's purpose.

Statement 2 : I had more than enough time to prepare. It was a
pathetically
easy job.
Statement 3 : A photograph contains no words... But in this case, one

Statement 1 : I first received the request from Lordly Tailor about 20
days ago.
Statement 2 : The urn was placed in a box, and Zvarri! It was then
sent to the
warehouse.
Statement 3 : Hence, I was actually unable to see the urn for myself
until the
day of the crime...
Statement 4 : I knew it was an extremely valuable treasure, so I sent
my card
10 days beforehand.

Statement 2 : Kane Bullard decided to investigate Mask*DeMasque and
simply
mistook who he was!
Statement 3 : It was Mr. Bullard who wrote the blackmail letter and
sent it
to Ron DeLite.
Statement 4 : And it was again Mr. Bullard who harbored a grudge against
Mr. DeLite for his betrayal!
Statement 5 : Mr. Bullard's mistake is quite excusable. The defendant
truly
believes he is Mask*DeMasque.

Mask*DeMasque?
12. That night, LUke Atmey was at KB Security, and the defense...
Witness Testimony
Ace Detective Luke Atmey
-- The Last Testimony --
+-------------------------------+
Statement 1 : Indeed, it is true that I was not at Lordly Tailor.
Statement 2 : I had to leave to see about another vitally important job
request.
Statement 3 : I had known about the date beforehand, so I had this
photograph
readied.
Statement 4 : My brilliant deduction was what informed me that the true
culprit was Ron DeLite.
Statement 5 : And thanks to the Key Card and Wallet, it was abundantly
clear
that he was there.
Statement 6 : I was also able to make a deduction from the buzzer, which
only sounded once.
Statement 7 : The button did not have any fingerprints on it... Why?
Statement 8 : The victim would have left prints if he sounded it. Which
means the killer sounded it.
Statement 9 : Mr. DeLite was wearing his Mask*DeMasque outfit, which is
why
he left no prints.
Statement 10: And, the blackmail letter? The victim likely just
mistook the
color of the jewel.
Statement 11: Zvarri! Therefore, all the evidence points to that poor
boy!
