Invitation to the 15th session in Hamburg,

At its 8th session (Utrecht, 20 to 24 November 2017), the RID Committee of Experts' standing working
group agreed to have a detailed discussion on the extra-large tank-containers that are currently being
used by a chemical company and which, in the medium term, will replace the tank-wagons this
company uses (see draft report OTIF/RID/CE/GTP/2017-A, paragraphs 80 to 90).

Time of the meeting

We therefore invite you to the 15th session of the RID Committee of Experts’ working group on tank
and vehicle technology, which will be held in Hamburg on 30 and 31 January 2018.

The meeting will start at 10.00 on 30 January 2018 and will end at 15.00 on 31 January 2018.

Languages

At the meeting, participants may speak in German, English or French. There will be simultaneous
interpretation into English.

Provisional agenda

A provisional agenda is attached as Annex 1.

Registration

In order to take part in the meeting of the working group, participants must register their attendance by
no later than 19 January 2018 under http://otif.org/en/?page_id=214. No more than 40 participants
may attend.

Hotels

A limited number of rooms has been pre-reserved at € 122.00 (not including breakfast, which costs
€ 19.00 per person, per day if booked in advance). These can be booked directly with the hotel up to
9 January 2018 quoting “RID/UIP 2018”. Bookings can be cancelled up to 3 days before arrival
without incurring any charges. Cancellations outside this deadline and/or no-shows will incur 90 % of
the agreed room price.
