CUK Graduate Program

for Philippine Students

1. Purpose
1) To provide top-level students from the Philippines with opportunities
for higher-education in Korea

2) To enhance the globalization of the CUK campus by creating a more


diverse atmosphere

3) To promote internationalization in education and mutual friendship


between Korea and the Philippines

2. Quota
Around 20 students

3. Recruitment Plan
1) Entrance period: Fall semester, 2010 (starting from September 2010)

3) Language of Instruction: English


※ A minimum number of courses about Korean language will be offered.

4) Eligibility
 A minimum number of courses about Korean language will be offered.
‚ Nationals of the Philippines
ƒ Graduates or graduates-to-be of college (undergraduate program)
※ As for the graduate-to-be, the students must be able to study from
September, 2010
„ TOEFL score of PBT 550/CBT 213/IBT 79 or above
※ This is not required for 2010 Fall Semester applicants.
However it will be considered, if submitted.
※ Applicants for 2011 Spring Semester must meet this requirement
suggested above; Recommended by Ministry of Education, Science and
Technology, Korea

5) Screening
 The screening will be conducted on the basis of overall evaluation
according to paper screening and interview results.
‚ After screening the required documents, CUK will notify the students
on individual basis whether they will be invited to take interview test.

4. Privileges
1) Exempt from tuition and on-campus residence fee during the whole study
※ Graduate program: 2 years
※ On condition that the applicant shall meet GPA of over 3.5 in a scale
of 4.5.)
2) Monthly payment is available for the students who work part-time jobs
on campus (such as English Assistantship)
3) Round-trip airfare provided

5. Application
1) Submission of Documents Deadline: March 7 (Sun.), 2010

※ Applicants must submit the documents via e-mail until deadline.


And the interview-invited students should submit the original
documents on the interview date.

※ Every information is needed to be filled in (major, department, address,


e-mail and telephone number). If not, applicants will be disqualified.

6. Required Documents
1) Application for Admission (CUK Form)
2) Study Plan and Personal Statement (Free Form)
3) A copy of Certificate of college graduation (or certified expected
graduation form)
4) A copy of college official transcript of whole year
(all the ranks and marks must be included on the transcript).
5) A recommendation letter by teacher or professor serving as relevant
department head
6) A copy of TOEFL score sheet (if available)
7) Proof of Philippine Nationality (i.e., A copy of the first page of passport)
