1) what article did you choose and why?

I chose to write about a flood in Skopelos. This terrible fact left behind it a
lot of damages that caused a lot to the people who live there.

This unprecedented weather phenomenon created rivers in the streets that

destroyed everything in their path. Houses have been inundated and were
created widespread power outages.A floodway emptying in the island’s
main port turned into a mighty arroyo during the evening.Schools are
closed on the island, many parts of which remained without power.
Damage from the thunderstorms also caused damage on neighboring
Skiathos island.The continuous heavy rainfall turned the roads parallel to
the coast into rushing rivers, sweeping down cars, kiosks and power poles.
The Mayor of Skopelos said that “the port of the island has
disappeared.”Roads were blocked by rubble and stones and were opened
by municipality teams this morning.The strong thunderstorm lasted several
hours. Reports speak of seven people who got injured. Schools remaine
close for “safety reasons.”

I chose to write about this flood because it’s terrible to learn how horrible
the situation was there. And the most horrible fact of this phenomenon is
that it will take a lot of time for the people to get over it.
