Stewardship and Development Thoughts from Judy Held Scripture Readings — 1/7/2018-1/14/2018
President, Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana
1/7 — The Epiphany of the Lord
Stewardship Thought: “..they fell down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and Isaiah 60:1-6; Psalm 72:2, 7-8, 10-13; Ephesians 3:2-3, 5-6; Matthew 2:1-12
offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh...” - Matthew 2:11
1/8 — The Baptism of the Lord
Notice the order of events in the Magi’s visit. First, they knelt before Jesus and prayed to Him. Then they Isaiah 42:1:4, 6-7 or Acts 10:34-38; Psalm 29:1-4, 9-10; Mark 1:7-11
presented Him with their gifts. We, too, must take time to pray before we present our gifts to the Lord.

Drinking the Spirit

“Drinking the Spirit” is a great opportunity for us to gather as adult Catholics to grow in our Catholic faith and as a community. Each
month we will have a different Catholic topic with a presenter. Questions and discussions are encouraged. We are each responsible
for our own "beverages" and food. This should be a relaxing and enjoyable way of learning about the Catholic faith. Please plan on
joining us, spread the word, and bring a friend!
Our next Drinking the Spirit will be January 23rd (NOTE: change of date) at 7 PM at the Tin Cup. Fr. Jose Panickomveli will
discuss his life and what brought him to Montana from India. He’s sure to have lots of great stories, so please join us!
