Dear Ms. Stitt:

I am applying for the Bryan Hannon Memorial Scholarship. I meet or exceed all of the
requirements to receive this scholarship. This scholarship requires at least a 3.0 grade point
average and I have maintained an average 4.0 grade point average all through middle school
and high school.

I participate in several extra-curricular activities. I did varsity football cheerleading for

Bradford High during my sophomore year of high school. I am a dancer at Dance Arts Olean
and I spend the majority of my nights at the dance studio. I work at Dance Arts as an assistant
dance teacher for the younger dancers in ballet and acrobatics. I participate in every class
offered at this dance studio and I also teach summer tap workshops. I participate regularly in
yoga classes through the YMCA and I enjoy to run when I get the chance.

My favorite outdoor activity takes place during the winter months at Holiday Valley Ski
Resort in Ellicottville, New York. I love to downhill ski all winter long. I enjoy this sport so much
that I am applying to be a Ski School instructor for children this upcoming ski season. I hope
that this job can allow me to share my love for skiing with others.
