Dear George,
Thank you so much for the great book you sent me. It’s so interesting. Last week, my parents
took me to a winter festival near our town. It was great! It isn’t a well-known festival, but it
still attracts about 20,000 visitors a year. It is a one week festival where you can see and do so
many amazing and fun things.
While we were there, we went on a sleigh ride around the site and saw all the sculptures in the
snow and ice competition. They were fantastic. My mum took lots of pictures. Then, we went
ice skating on the lake for more than an hour. After that, we had something to eat and then
we watched the snow parade and the firework display. I loved the parade because people were
wearing colourful costumes and they were dancing and giving sweets to the people watching.
There were also a few bands that were playing some great music. I was exhausted at the end
of the night, but it was such a fun festival. The town also holds a spring festival in March. Do
