Gangsing

Gangsing is a traditional toy. It

can spin on the shaft and rotate. It is the
oldest toy found in various
archaelogical sites and still be
recognizable until now. It made by
wood, plastic, or other materials.

Gangsing have variety of forms,

depending on its region. There are
oblong and round, shaped like a heart,
cone, or cylinder. There is also shaped
like a flying saucer. A top consist of a
head section, the body section, and the
foot section. However, the shape, size,
and pairs of top are different according
to each area. It is very simple to play
gangsing. Just wrap the strap on the rod
sticking out of the top. Then pull the
rope and throw into the ground.
