As her University Supervisor, | have been very impressed with her overall professional teaching performance. Utilizing the local curriculum and standards, Carrie developed lesson plans to engage her students. For example, she used hands-on and simulated labs to create relevant learning opportunities that allowed students to work at their own pace independently and in small groups. Moreover, assessments were modified to ensure students were successful and accommodations were being, followed. In regard to technology, Carrie shared her detailed lesson plans through planbook.com, used Gizmo simulated labs, and led students through engaging slide shows on the SMARTBoard that contained relevant local and global examples partnered with thought-provoking questions. During her student teaching experience, Carrie attended staff meetings, participated in professional development opportunities, and assisted with Yoga Club. She also volunteered her time before and after school to help students that were struggling with the material. All of her interactions with students, parents, and faculty were professional and polite. Carrie consistently reflected on her teaching and sought feedback to best meet the needs of her students.
