第一章Purpose
This Instruction is to direct after-sales service personnel and related
personnel to master the software upgrade process, so as to upgrade Y320
series mobile phone software.

第二章Scope
This instruction is applicable to Y320 series mobile phones and is for after-
sales services and relevant personnel to update the software.

第四章Operation Steps

4.1 Run “flash tool”

This download tool doesn’t need to install. Just find and run the
“Flash_tool.exe” (Note: Due to the change of file path, error message will
appear in the first time. Just click OK to skip it.) The interface after

4.2 Configure flash tool

1. Click on the "Scatter - loading" icon button on the interface and select the
file named as “... scatter.txt” in the mobile phone software folder as below
picture:

Use the same way to select the “Download Agent” file named as
“MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin”in the same folder of this Upgrade Tool.
2. Then, the file path and DA path which we uploaded will show in the interface
as below picture:

3.：Select the upgrade mode:

“Download” mode: This mode is for the mobile phones which cannot boot up.
After upgrading the software, you need to calibrate the RF and ADC
parameters.
“Firmware﹥Upgrade” mode: This mode is for the mobile phones which can boot
up and the calibration parameter is normal. In this mode, the calibration
parameter of the phone will not lose in the upgrade process. Normally, we
choose this mode to upgrade.
“Format” mode: This mode is for the mobile phones which cannot boot up
after upgrading the software. You can use this mode to format the phone and
then download the software.

4.3 Software upgrade USB mode

1. Select “Firmware﹥Upgrade” mode.

Normally, we choose “Firmware﹥Upgrade” mode to upgrade. Now I will show you
how to operate.
First, the mobile phone must be powered off. Then, click on the button of
“Firmware﹥Upgrade”. After that, press the volume “+” key and
connect the phone with USB Cable. When the red progress bar begins to
move, loose the volume “+” key. The whole process will be completed
automatically. Picture shows as below:

Upgrade is finished:
When the progress interface shows 100%, the green box will pop up. It means the
upgrade process is successful.

1. Start Download upgrade

When the phone cannot power on, you should select this mode.
First, the mobile phone must be powered off. Then, click on the button of
“Download”. After that, press the volume “+” key and connect the phone
with USB Cable. When the red progress bar begins to move, loose the volume
“+” key. The whole process will be completed automatically.

2. Upgrade is finished:

When the progress interface shows 100%, the green box will pop up. It means
the upgrade process is successful.

1. Begin to format the phone.

When the phone cannot power on or under other special situations, you can
select this mode to format the phone and then download the software.
First, the mobile phone must be powered off. Then, click the “format”
button on the interface and set according to below tips in the pop-up box
and click "OK".

After that, press the volume “+” key and connect the phone with USB Cable
to format the phone. When the red progress bar begins to move, loose the
volume “+” key. The whole process will be completed automatically. If
there is any pop-up box in the process, please select "OK".

2. Format is finished:
When the progress interface shows 100%, the green box will pop up. It means
the upgrade process is successful.

5 Cautions
1. Upgrade tool software is switchable between Chinese and English. In the
Options menu, there is language selection option.
2. Before upgrading the software, you should ensure computer has installed
the upgrade cable driver. The driver is issued with the upgrade tool.
