Subject :Tender Bulletin No.2

Dear Sirs, With reference to above mentioned tender, please find hereafter response to query raised by tenderers below.

Q1: Referenceto the above, we would like to inform you that, all our Subcontractors arerequesting for more time to submit
their quotation. Hence we request you toextend the tender submission date by at least 3 week from the current bidclosing
date.
A1: The SC agrees to extend the Tender Closing Date until 9.00am on Thursday 21 December 2017. Accordingly,
the last day to raise queries will now be 11 December 2017.

Q2: As per BOQ 6- Sail Boat Piers-181017 (6A.0.15.0.0.0), We understood that the client has completed the predesign
of Floating Pontoon and the total area of Floating pontoon that client designed is 7,455m. So we request client to provide
a drawing mentioning the dimension (width of each fingers and walkway, length of each walkway and fingers, length of
piers, gap between berths, length of internal channels, width of gangway and length of fairways) of each and every
floating pontoons which will allow us to reduce the time duration in designing the concept again by our own self.
A2: Referto the attached sketch for (DPP-DAH-D-SMP-L-ST-AL-AZ-3101-T0_Sketch) fairwaysminimum widths.
Dimensionswere assumed as follows: walkwaysare of minimum width of 4m, and fingers of 1.5m. The assumed
width of gangwayis 2m. Double berth width for 7 m boats = 9m, & for 15& 20 m boats = 15m. The Contractor has
to design the optimum lengths and widths for the Engineersapproval.Kindly note that the information provided
in thesketch is for the tenderers information only and the design ofpontoons/fingers lengths, sizes, and
dimensions are part of the contractorscope and remains his sole responsibility.

Q3: Reference to drawings ref. DPP-DAH-D-ISP-L-LS-AL-AZ-1012, please confirm the following:1- The information
considered in this drawings is applicable to the exisiting structural layout.2- The relocation and demolition works of all
existing structures inside the plot limit (such as garage, office building, site facilities, containers, existing asphalt
pavement, trees and etc.) both above and below ground is not part of the Contractor's scope of work.
A3: 1-The Tenderer has to disregard the mentioned drawing as it is irrelevant to theSMP package. 2- The
relocation and demolition works of all existingstructures inside the plot are not part of the SMP Scope of Works

Q4: Please provide detailed drawings and specification for the item mentioned in the BOQ, item E, 35.2 - page 4 of 6
(steel shading device with perforated metal sheets)
A4: The steel shading has been omitted from theContractors Scope of Works, thus, the Tenderer has to
disregard the mentionedBOQ item and price it as Nil (N/A).

Q5: Note no. 3, the Drawing No. DPP- DAH- D- SMP- L- ST- AL- AZ-3101 statethat, for exact location, dimension and
levels of floating pontoons refer topud drawings., please provide the mention drawing. Or the pontoon sizes.
A5: Tenderer to refer to the attached sketch(DPP-DAH-D-SMP-L-ST-AL-AZ-3101-T0_Sketch) for fairways, and
boats LOA. Kindlynote that the information provided in the sketch is for the tenderersinformation only and the
design of pontoons/fingers lengths, sizes, anddimensions are part of the contractor scope and remains his sole
responsibility

Q6: Please provide the required number of boats, size anddescription of the boats to be utilized in this pontoon.
A6: Refer to similar query in this Tender Bulletin Nr 2.

Q7: However the characteristics of boat has been mentioned in the document number SC-DPP-SMP-DAH-RED-AD-
00014 Rev T0, As a Marina designer we need to have exact number of boats and the sizes for that this marina shall be
designed for. The numbers of the boats and size is a main key to design such a marina.
A7: Tenderer to consider the following numbers of boats. However, the Tenderer has to take in consideration
that this is a Lump Sum Contract and the Works will not be subject to re-measurement. Verification of the
quantities remains Contractor's responsibility : 15m Vessel. - 44nr; 20m Vessel - 34nr; 07m Vessel - 100nr &
Jet ski - 30nr. The approximate sizes given above range between 7, 15, & 20m plus jet skis.

Q8: In the drawing is not clear the designated area for smallboats (size?), large boats (size?), fuel dispenser, Jets key in
pontoons.
A8: The designated areas for boats, fuel dispensers, and jet-skis are indicated on drawing numberDPP-DAH-D-
SMP-L-AR-AL-AZ-0502. For the number of boats, please refer to similar query in this Tender Bulletin Nr 2.

Q9: 1. Asper BOQ 6- Sail Boat Piers-181017(6A.0.15.0.0.0), We understand that the pre-design of Floating Pontoon
hascompleted and the total area of Floating pontoon that was designed as 7,455m. We request to provide a drawing
mentioning thedimension (width of each fingers and walkway, length ofeach walkway and fingers, length of piers, gap
between berths, length of internalchannels, width of gangway and length of fairways) of each and everyfloating pontoons
which will allow us to reduce the time duration in designingthe concept again by our own self. 1. 2. In BOQ 35.2, Item
E, page 5of7 for External Works,please provide detailed drawings and specification of the Steel Shading Device.

and price it as Nil (N/A)

Q10: But the minimum design life of the aluminium pontoon that manufacturer of the pontoon can provide is 20 years to
max 25 years unless that marinas is in well protected area (less than 500m wave fetch) or concrete pontoon.
A10: Therequired design life for the concrete pontoons is 50 years. The Contractor mustensure that the required
design life is satisfied.

Q11: As per the document number SC-DPP-SMP-DAH-SOW-AD-00014, 033001 pg 3 of 8, Clause 1.5 A. 1 and clause B
Vertical load, we understood that require live load of the pontoon is 250kgs/m and the design life of the marina has to be
minimum 40 years at normal condition. Please be informed that required live load can be achieved by both of concrete
(350kgs/m to 650kgs/m) and aluminium pontoons (max 250kgs/m) but the design life which is 40 years can be achieved
by the concrete pontoons only. So we request client to advise us the design basis of this marina is live load or design
life.
A11: The Contractor must ensure that the design shall satisfy both requirements; the required live load and the
design lifetime which is 50 years.

Q12: Please provide detailed drawings showig the connection detail between 200mm, 150mm & 100mm thick
blockworks.
A12: Tendererto refer to the attached detail ref#042002 Rev. (A).

Q13: Client to advise us the power requirement of Service pedestals (Phase and amp). ?
A13: ForService pedestals details refer to DWG No. DPP-DAH-D-SMP-L-EL-AL-AZ-5009

Q14: Client to advise if there is any particular requirement for lighting system on marina.
A14: Refer to the lighting fixture descriptionDPP-DAH-D-SMP-L-EL-AL-AZ-0002 & DPP-DAH-D-SMP-L-EL-AL-AZ-
5009.

Q15: Reference to Item B - Design risk assessment Point 2 - Mentioned Soil Improvement by Dynamic
Compaction.Please clarify the above requirement
A15: The ground Improvement is omitted from the Scope ofthe SMP Contractor

Q16: Reference to Tender documents, GSAS compliant report SC-DPP-CAF-DAH-REP-AR-00024 page 63 of 87, item
2.6.1 mention "hardscape materials with high solar reflectance value will be used instead of asphalt , there will be no new
asphalt used in the project only the already existing roads". Our understanding is that all existing asphalt is to be
maintained and only new roads are to be made of solar reflectance material.Otherwise, please clarify if removal of
existing asphalt is part of Contractor's scope.
A16: The removalof the existing Asphalt at the current Amiri Yacht is part of the Contractorsscope of work. The
Tenderer shall add an item for the removal of this asphalt in the BOQ TAS (Tender Adjustment Schedule).

Q17: Further to Q2 in Tender Bulletin No. 1 wherein the response states that the works shall be executed as Desig-Build,
please confirm that as a Design-Build contractor the Contractor is is to treat the provided specification as a guide only
and is free to amend/modify any element in the design drawings in order to deliver a fit for purpose project.
A17: For theDesign-Build items, the Tenderer shall abide to the issued Tender documents anddrawings
indicating the Employers requirements for the design which should berespected by the Contractor in his
development of the design in order toachieve the design intent.The Contractor shall not alter any of the
Employersrequirements without obtaining the Engineers prior consent
