When we return from break we will begin reading different types of folktales and using story elements to
determine the moral of each story. We will also be using this skill to compare two different versions of the
same fable or folktale. In grammar we will be reviewing the spelling rules of plural nouns and will review past,
present, and future tense verbs. We will also begin learning about pronouns. In writing we will strengthen our
skills as authors with a focus on a strong topic sentence, using transitional words to tell the sequence of
steps, and a closing statement. In Math we will be reviewing 2 and 3 digit subtraction with and without
regrouping. In social Studies we will learn about the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
and will begin learning about Chinese New Year. In science we will FINALLY complete our unit on space.
