Moving Mountains Final Project Presentation

To accompany your final project, you will need to do a final presentation. This presentation must be
made using an online presentation software like Prezi, Emaze, Canva, etc. This presentation is worth 50
points. Treat this presentation has a way to prove your knowledge of the subject of earthquakes.
Become an expert on your plate boundary!

Instructions
1. Create a presentation that shows off your final project as well as information for how your project
works like a plate boundary in the real world. Include examples, photographs, videos, or animations to
enhance your presentation.
2. Compare and contrast your plate boundary to others.
3. Include photographs of your model build and testing and add a short video of your project working
properly in case anything happens to it on your way to school.
4. Treat this presentation as a way to prove your knowledge of the subject of earthquakes. Become an
expert on your plate boundary!
5. Notes are okay to have, but practice your presentation so you don’t need to read off your notes. Notes
should be there to support you just in case you get lost, not carry you through your entire presentation!
6. You need a title slide plus 5 to 10 slides to present your material.
7. Your presentation should not go over 10 minutes. Any presentations that fall outside of a 9 to 11
minute range will receive a lowered score.
8. Be ready to answer questions from myself, your peers, and any other people that happen to be there
for the presentation (T.A.s, parents, or other school staff/faculty). They may not know all this
information very well so be prepared!

A grading rubric has been included to give you even more clear guidelines of what I’m expecting. This
presentation combined with your model project is your final exam.
