Job Responsibility:

 Thermal design of all TEMA types of exchangers using HTRI exchanger Suite & HTFS Shell &
Tube heat exchanger programs for Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemical, Fertilisers, Solar
Power plant & thermal power plants for most of the Process Licensors (Shell, UOP,
Chevron, Axens, HTAS, Lurgi, Davy etc).
 Thermal design of Waste Heat Boilers (Reformed Gas Boiler, CG Boiler, SG Boiler, Process
Gas Boiler etc.) for Ammonia Plants, Hydrogen Plants & Sulfur Recovery Units.
 Thermal rating of shell & tube heat exchanger designs furnished by customers for various
process plants & working out optimized alternative thermal designs and avoid any
problems associated with the customer designs (like two-phase flow stratification,
temperature approach problems etc.)
 Carrying out rigorous in-build Flow Induced Vibration analysis for all types of heat
exchangers including multi-dimensional bundle entrance & exit velocity calculations.
 Proposing optimized alternate designs using Helical baffles, EMbaffles etc. wherever
suitable.
 Thermal rating of double pipe & multitube exchangers using Xjpe & Xhpe modules in HTRI.
 Making final thermal datasheet submit to Static Equipment Engineer.
 Thermal design thermosyphon reboilers, kettle reboilers etc.
