ASSIGNMENT: GRAPHIC PHOTOSHOP

1.LASSO TOOL

Lasso tool is used to make a selection in free form. Lasso tool rarely used to make selection because
of it’s unaccurate lines when editing. When using this the user requires care and patience.

 2.Polygonal Lasso Tool

The Polygonal Lasso Tool is a cross between the Rectangular Marquee Tool and the standard Lasso
Tool. It allows us to easily draw freeform selection outlines based on straight-sided polygonal
shapes.

Right click on the standard Lasso Tool and select

As you can see using the Polygonal Lasso Tool is more easier and the picture is more
accurate,straight and clean.

3.CROP TOOL

The Crop Tool works similarly to the Rectangular Marquee tool. The differences is it crops image to
the size of the box. Any other pixels outside the box is gone temporarily until you undo.

Choose the crop tool icon on the toolbar

Drag the cursor to the area you want

The crop tool only leave the selected pixel and

remove any other pixel outside the box
4.HEALING BRUSH TOOL

This tool is really useful and mildly advanced .You can use this tool to repair scratches and specs .it
works like the Brush tool. It Basically copies the info from the first area to the second ,in the form of
the Brush tool Only, at the end, it averages the information to blends. You can choose the cursor size
and paint over the bad area.

Click the Healing Brush Tool icon on the tool bar

5. SPOT HEALING BRUSH TOOL

This tool is pretty much similar to the healing brush tool except its ‘spots’ the pixel. Commonly used
to retouch and repair an image.

Select the spot Healing Brush Tool Icon on the toolbar

6. PATCH TOOL

The Patch Tool is part of the healing brush set tool, these are the go to tools for retouching and
repairing images. The Patch Tool is Primarily used to repair larger areas of an image, or to get rid of
any distractions or blemishes.

Click the Patch tool icon on the toolbar

7. CLONE STAMP STOOL

The Clone stamp tool allows you to copy one area of an image onto another area of an image. It’s
extremely easy to use and one of the program’s tool that you will turn quite often.

Click the Clone Stamp Tool Icon on the toolbar a ) Click the Clone Stamp Tool

Press the ALT key on your keyboard then move your

cursor to the image you want to copy.

Choose your Brush type that you want and change the brush size.

Paste the copied texture on robin arm.

8. BACKGROUND ERASER TOOL

The Background Eraser Tool erases pixels on a layer to transparency as you drag.You can erase the
background while maintaining the edges of an object in the background while maintaining the edges
of an object and the tolerance options,you can control the range of transperancy and the sharpness
of the boundaries.

Click the Background Eraser Tool Icon on the tool bar

containing the areas
you want to erase.

Choose settings for

Diameter,Hardness,Spacing,
Angle and Roundness
options

For Tolerance enter a value. Lower tolerance limits erasure to areas that are very similar to
sampled color.A high tolerance erases broader range of colors.

9. MAGIC ERASER TOOL

The Magic Eraser Tool is basically you can think ofmit as a Magic Wand tool but instead of just
selecting similar pixels it deletes them.It’s a great tool for quickly removing backgrounds which are
just one colour.

1.Tolerance Value define the range of colors that can be erased.Lower tolerance erases pixel within
a range of color values very similar to pixel you click. A high tolerance extends the range of colors
that will be erased
2. Anti-aliased to smooth the edges of the area you erase
3.Contiguous to erase only pixels contiguos to the one you click,or deselect to erase all simillar pixels
in the image
4. Sample All Layers to sample the erased color using combined data from all visible layers
5.Specify an opacity to define the strength of the erasure.An opacity of 100% erases pixels
completely.A lower opacity erases pixels partially

10. BLUR TOOL

The Blur tool In Photoshop can be used as both repair and more artistic endevours.You can use the
Blur tool to soften a small flaw or part of a rough edge.It can also add a little blur to an element as a
focal point.

Click the Blur Tool icon on the toolbar

Be sure to use small diameter for smaller

areas of blur. Larger Brushes produce more extreme effects

Choose Brush type from Brushes

preset picker drop down panel.

Choose the strength of the blur effect with the

strength slider.The lower the value,the lighter value effect
