STEP 1
1. Discuss about the title Real world
“Where does my money go?” – Figure 1 (Stimulus)
2. Individual Task – Students share their answers with their Shoulder partner
group mates/ pairs. (Using Table 1)

STEP 2
1. In groups of 3 or 4, read silently “Editor’s note’ – Text 1 21st century Learning
‘Slave or Save?’ & Text 2 ‘Spending Wisely’.
2. Students use ACID (Agree, Confusing, Interesting, Disagree) ACID
method to guide understanding as they read individually.
* Students mark their opinion on the text with different HOTS and 21st Century
colour indications. Learning
A- Green, C- Yellow, I –Blue, D- Pink
3. Students share and justify their opinion among the group
mates. (Think-Pair-Share)

STEP 3
1. Each of the student plans on how to save their own money HOTS: Applying
and justify their decision on Post-it notes.
2. Then, paste their plan (s) on the Parking Lot for Gallery 21st Century Learning
