Pilot Pollution
Threshold Sets the RSCP difference between the best cell and cells entering
the active set.
RSCP Threshold Sets the minimum RSCP for entering the active set.
Active Set Sets the number of active sets.
That is, when the number of cells in the active set is more than that
of active sets, the cell with lowest RSCP is considered to be a cell
resulting in pilot pollution.
Neighbor Cell
RSCP Threshold If the measured RSCP of two adjacent test points exceeds or equals
to the RSCP threshold, and two cells are available at the same
time, the neighbor count of the two cells should be incremented by
one.
Count Threshold If the neighbor count of any two cells exceeds or equals to the
count threshold, the two cells are neighbors.

Section Describes
6.1 Map Management The Mapinfo and raster maps and their related operations.
6.2 Legend Management The operations of legends.
6.3 Layer Management The settings of layer attributes.
Attribute data This file defines the components of a map attribute data table,
table file (.tab) including the field counts, field names, field types, field width,
indicator fields, and some key information on the related layers. You
can open the file using WordPad in the tablet and view its contents.
Attribute data This file is used to store complete map attribute data. The head file
file (.dat) contains the information on the attribute data table file and is followed
by the attribute data records in detail.
Cross indicator This file records the pointer that locates each space of a map in the
file (.id) space data file (.map). A pointer consists of four bytes. Pointers are
arrayed in the same way as the attribute data records stored in the
attribute data file. The cross indicator file is a file for defining space
objects.
Space data file This file consists of the space data of each map object. Space data
(.map) contains geometry, coordinate, and stain information on a space object.
Furthermore, the document also describes the record number of the
attribute data for a space. Thus, when querying an object from the map,
you can easily find the related attribute information on this object.
Data set file This file itself contains the indicators to the preceding files. A complete
(.gst) map set must consist of all the preceding files.
The GENEX Assistant supports data import in the following format: raster image file
(.tif, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, and .png).
The GENEX Assistant supports data export in the following formats:
z Raster image file (.tif, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, and .png)
z Attribute data table file (.tab)
----End
The imported raster map provides no geographical information, so a reference point must be added for
finding the geographical location.
To accurately locate the map, at least three reference points must be added. Ensure that these points are
asymmetrically distributed, for instance, ensure that they do not stay at the same horizontal line or
vertical line.
z AutoArrange
This mode is used to set parameters, such as scrambling codes. Figure 6-4 shows the
setting for the ranged legend property. The system automatically sets various colors for
the symbols representing different parameter values and you can also set the shapes and
sizes for these symbols.

LinkRestoreAttempt In the case that the UE state is InCall or InData and that the
RRC state is CELL_FACH, the UE sends a (UL CCCH) Cell
Update message one minute later after the state transition.
If the UE sends the Cell Update message several times and there
are no other messages between them, the LinkRestoreAttempt
event occurs when the UE sends the Cell Update message the
last time.
The UE state transits from InCall or InData to CallRestore.
LinkRestoreSuc z After the LinkRestoreAttempt event, the UE receives a Cell
Update Confirm message.
z After receiving a Cell Update Confirm message, the UE sends
a Physical Channel Reconfiguration Complete message.
z After the Physical Channel Reconfiguration Complete
message, the RRC state transits from CELL_FACH to
CELL_DCH.
LinkRestoreFail After the LinkRestoreAttempt event, the UE does not receive a
Cell Update Confirm message. Alternatively, the UE receives
the Cell Update Confirm message but does not send a Physical
Channel Reconfiguration Complete message within five
seconds.

Solution
Check whether the hard dongle is connected to the Assistant. If the hard dongle is not
connected to the Assistant, connect them since the Assistant can be used only when the hard
dongle is connected.
Check whether the hard dongle drive is installed correctly. If the hard dongle driver is not
installed, install the hard dongle drive before using the Assistant.
z If both the hard dongle and the hard dongle drive are installed correctly, check whether
the port works normally.
z If you have installed other software that also requires hard dongle and found that the
Assistant cannot be started normally, infer that the two hard dongles conflict with each
other. In such a situation, you need to unload Sentinal Drive from the Control Panel and
reinstall the GENEX Shared.
Solution
The data processing procedure starts after the data is imported. Thus, the illegal operation
damages the intactness of the whole process and causes data errors. Do not exit the whole
program or turn off the computer by force. If any illegal operation or error occurs, such as
sudden electricity failures, rebuild the dataset and import the data.
Solution
When conducting co-activation, pay attention to the following principles:
z In chart mode, the distributed window displayed in the custom X/Y axes cannot be
activated.
z The co-activation control buttons are available on the toolbar of the map and sheet
window. They are used to initiate the activation.
z As the time is expressed in millisecond, data overlap may result in invalidity
co-activation. In such a situation, increase the value of geographic binning to achieve the
co-activation.
Solution
The word collector icon becomes active only when the file is open on the Word Collector
tab.
Solution
When adjusting a certain area to a proper position, click to save the current position or
click to load this position.
Solution
To change the map legend, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Modify the legend of an indicator or create a legend for the indicator on the Map Legend tab
of the Project bar.
Step 2 Select the layer to be modified on the Map Layer tab.
Step 3 Click Load Legend and select the map legend to be imported.
The legend of the indicator is changed.
----End
Solution
During the drive test, the same path can be tested many times and the drive test data can be
saved in the same dataset. You can only see the drive test points located at the top when the
drive test points are of the same longitude and latitude. Therefore, you need to select time
span by time filtering.
When you select time span, the following scenarios are available:
z Repeat the drive test on the same path several times and select one of the entire test data.
z In a drive test, select the test data of a certain test track.
To carry out time filter on map layers, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Activate the indicators in the Map window and activate the same indicators in the Sheet
window. Set the two windows to be co-activated.
Step 2 Manually play back the test process in the Map window. Set the starting point of the test track.
In the Sheet window, check the time of the starting point and record it by using the
co-activation function. Set the end point of the test track. In the Sheet window, check the time
of the end point and record it by using the co-activation function.
Step 3 Click Time Filter on the map toolbar.
The Time Filter dialog box is displayed.
Step 4 Enter the start time and end time in the fields of Start Time and End Time.
Step 5 Click OK.
----End
Solution
The files in .SD5 format cannot be directly imported. Therefore, when the files are exported
in supported formats using Agilent, some information is already lost.
Solution
The probable reasons for the unavailability of the analysis report item are as follows:
z The Microsoft Office Excel may not be correctly installed on your computer. Reinstall it.
z The Assistant cannot immediately respond to the request for the .xls file. In fact, the data
is already exported into a temporary folder. In such a situation, you have to manually
open the report. Go into the main directory of the Assistant, find the report in the
directory \Bin\Temp and open it.
Solution
The GENEX Shared should be reinstalled in the following scenarios:
z The hard dongle cannot be found.
z The GENEX Shared components are updated.
z The GENEX Shared is partially installed.
z The Assistant fails to import the data.
Solution
Conform to the following principles when importing the RNC signaling.
z The signaling file for RNC standard interface tracing should match with UE test data.
That is, the signaling file and UE test data are extracted from the same test.
z The RNC uses the time on the LMT, which is different from the UE time. The time offset
between the RNC and the UE may be great. The Assistant abandons the matching of the
data when the time offset is greater than ten minutes.
