Platform EPC

Hook up estimates per 23th of April 2014.

Hook up of weight shedding items,
complexity.
2

 Weight shedding total weight 2306 tonnes. (22 items)

 Complex and challenging hook up, 3ea. main Power

generators and top deck, total 806 tonnes.

 Low complexity systems, mainly steel structures and

platforms, 1500 tonnes.
(Low complexity systems are 65 % of the total weight
shedding scope).

 Offshore hook up estimates for weight shedding items are

based on this distribution.
Direct hours, factors and prerequisites.

3
 Direct hours are estimated based on known activities, duration
and required man power. (defined in spread sheet)

 Job cards are not yet established, nor a proper hook up register.
Hook up engineering and method not completed.

 Administration factor based on industrial norms and experience.

Complexity is taken into account.

 Indirect hours / factor is based on industrial norms and

experience.

 Commissioning and Vendor assistance hours are raised 100%

above industrial standard (5%) due to potential in-efficiency,
access and available beds.

 Hook up scope still increasing, but seem to have a

trend to stabilise.

A few examples:

 Heli fuel package must be removed and

reinstalled due to clash with lifting slings.
(LQ top)

 Slings platform on west module must be

removed.

 Temporary arrangement after Jacket and

up ending installations must be removed.

 Riser valve is too close to jacket during

deck installation, resulting in offshore
installation. (will probably be solved)

Carry over scope estimates

 The Carry over scope  RISK

indicated is a theoretical
figure indicating 25 000  Carry over scope can
onshore man hours. A factor of increase
5 has been used due to
unknown scope and many  Hidden Carry over
unsertenties. This leads to a scope is a possibility
offshore estimate of 125 000 and a grate risk not
hours. estimated or included
in the present budget.
 Mitigating action is
extensive punch out of
the deck as early as
possible to plan for
extra scope.
