MELILLA TRIBAL COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION FOR FIXING OF THE DATE FOR THE ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF THE
TRIBAL DAY OF BARANGAY MELILLA, SANTA CRUZ, DAVAO DEL SUR

WHEREAS, during the meeting of the Barangay Tribal Council, representatives from the elders, women
and youth, the fixing of the date for the Annual Celebration of the Barangay Melilla Tribal Day was
presented for urgent discussion.

WHEREAS, relative to the observance of the National Indigenous People’s Month which falls on the
month of October as well as the celebration of the Araw ng Barangay Melilla which is on the 24th of the
said month, the group decided to celebrate the Melilla Tribal Day annually every 23rd day of October;

WHEREAS, upon thorough deliberation and upon the motion of Bai Naomi P. Miano, unanimously
seconded, it was

RESOLVED, as it was hereby resolved to pass a resolution to celebrate the Barangay Melilla Tribal Day
on October 23rd annually;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution shall be furnished to the NCIP Provincial Office,
Municipal Mayor’s Office and all agencies concerned for their information and guidance.

Adopted this 20th of November 2017 at the Barangay Tribal Hall, Melilla, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur.
